SPICED APPLE AND RAISIN COFFEE CAKE
2-1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. chopped pecans
1/3 C. (packed) golden brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 C. chilled margarine, cut into pieces
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 C. sugar
1/3 C. margarine, melted
1 large egg
1 C. milk (use regular milk only)
1 C. raisins
1 C. chopped, peeled tart green apple
powdered sugar if desired

Preheat oven to 350o F. Spray baking pan. Combine
1/2 C. flour, pecans, brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.
With fingers, crush in 1/3 C. chilled margarine until
mixture is lumpy. Set aside.Combine 2 C. flour,
1 tsp. cinnamon, baking powder, allspice and nutmeg in
large bowl. Beat in 1 C. sugar and 1/3 C. melted margarine.
Add egg and beat well. Add milk and mix. Stir in raisins and
apple. Spoon half of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle half
of streusel over batter. Spoon remaining batter over streusel,
then sprinkle remaining streusel over top. Bake about 45
minutes, until inserted tester comes out clean. When cool,
you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
