1 C. flour
1¼2 C. golden brown sugar
1¼3 C. old fashioned oats
1 tsp. cinnamon
1¼2 C. chilled, unsalted butter
4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, cut into 3¼4
inch pieces (about 51¼2 C.)
1 16-oz. can whole-berry cranberry sauce
3¼4 C. sugar
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 purchased 9-inch deep-dish frozen pie shell,
unthawed
Streusel: Mix first 4 ingredients in small bowl. Add butter and rub
in with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Filling: Preheat oven to 350° F. Toss apples, cranberry sauce, sugar
and cornstarch in large bowl. Transfer apple-cranberry filling into
frozen pie shell. Sprinkle topping over pie. Set on baking sheet and
bake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes or until apples are tender and
juices bubble.
Great with vanilla ice cream. Ummm good. |
