3/4 C. sugar
3/4 C. water
1 lemon
1 orange
1 bottle dry red wine
1 bottle seltzer

Combine sugar and water in a small pot. Heat, stirring until
boiling, then cook rapidly 3-4 minutes. Cool. Slice orange
and lemon thin. Halve orange slices. Place fruits in medium
size bowl and cover with sugar syrup. Let stand for 3 hours.
Just before serving, place fruits and syrup in pitcher. Stir in
wine and soda. Add ice. It’s ready to serve!
