Back CARAMELIZED ONIONS WITH A TWIST print this page

2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 large onions, sliced thinly
1¼3 C. beef broth, can be prepared from boullion cubes
1¼2 C. preferred barbecue sauce
11¼2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar

Heat oil in saucepan. Add onions and sauté until light brown. Add broth, barbecue sauce and vinegar. Simmer until sauce thickens, about 15 minutes. Can be served hot or cold over burgers.
P.S. Can be stored in refrigerator a day or two before serving.
