Meatballs:
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground veal
1 C. unseasoned breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1/3 C. ketsup
3 Tbsp. minced onion
Sauce:
1 can (16 oz.) whole cranberry sauce
1 bottle (12 oz.) chili sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice (less if using concentrate)
Preheat oven to 300°. In a large bowl, combine meat, breadcrumbs, onion and
eggs. Mix well and form into small, cocktail size balls. Place in a
casserole or baking pan. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce,
chili sauce, brown sugar and lemon juice. Cook, stirring over medium heat
until smooth. Pour hot sauce over meatballs in casserole. Bake for about 45
minutes, depending on size of meatballs. Makes about 80 balls. Freezes great!!
