PITTSBURGH,
PA – At the 2007 U.S. Open Golf Tournament, Matt Killen,
professional golf instructor and swing coach, met with Pat Huot,
national account executive, Transitions Optical, Inc., to talk about
Killen’s success with wearing Oakley® Activated by
Transitions™ lenses. At 22
years old, Killen is the youngest instructor to coach and represent
three PGA Tour professionals including J.B. Holmes, Kenny Perry and
Shaun Micheel.
Killen
is a firm advocate of Oakley Activated by Transitions lenses,
recommending them as a preferred eyewear option to professional
golfers. “Oakley Activated
by Transitions lenses have been a great choice of eyewear for both
my golf profession and everyday life,” said Killen.
“My
vision plays a huge role in my career, and, for golf, the lenses
provide the best possible visual performance for me in changing
light conditions. Plus, I am
out in the sun all day and it is nice to know my eyes are being
protected from UV and glare.”
In
addition to coaching PGA golfers, Killen also trains various
Nationwide Tour players and Division 1 college golfers.
He has hosted The Golf Channel’s “Academy Live” and has
been featured twice on “Inside the PGA Tour.”
Oakley®
Activated by Transitions™
sunglass lenses provide optimal visual performance outdoors
and are ideal for people who enjoy an active outdoor life, from
high-performance athletes to fresh-air enthusiasts.
Like
all lenses that are branded as Activated by Transitions, the Oakley
lenses have been enhanced with patented Transitions®
Photochromic Technology to automatically optimize visual performance
in variable light conditions, and to block 100 percent of UVA and
UVB rays to help protect eye health and well-being for the future.
