New Tints from BPI

BPI FL-41™

has been found by independent researchers to be beneficial when treating photophobia, blepharospasm and migraines by blocking blue and green wavelengths. It is rose in color and is usually tinted to a darkness of 50%. It has been found useful to reduce eyestrain, tension headaches and migraine triggered by the flickering blue light of indoor fluorescent lighting. This filter blocks about 80% of that component.

BPI Melanin™

A tint that mimics the natural sunlight protection pigment of the skin. This is a yellowish-brown color that has been chosen not just for its appearance, but for the shape of the spectral curve which resembles that of natural melanin. The destructive, high-energy side of the spectrum is reduced in proportion to its energy content, but enough blue light is transmitted to allow natural perception of color.
